About me
When I took over conducting a children's string orchestra which included many children who had been playing for less than a year together with some of around Grade 1 standard, I found it difficult to find music which was easy enough for them to play. Or if I bought books of ready - published music I found myself having to write out sets of easier parts for the less experienced players.
My music is therefore written for a string ensemble in which the majority of players are below Grade 1 standard and many of the pieces have open string parts for absolute beginners.
